Wish Preservation and Release
There is a Japanese ledged that states whomever folds a thousand paper cranes gets granted a wish by a crane. In the time of unemployment, lack, sickness, and loss more than ever dreams need to come to fruition. For this project participants are invited to write a wish down in the center of a sheet of paper. I then fold the paper into an origami crane and the crane is then dipped into a bowl of beeswax. A successful hive is dependent on each individual bee contributing to the betterment of the whole. Once I attain 1000 cranes, the birds will be burned and their ashes will be turned into a candle continuing the cycle.
